</div>This is incorrect. MythTV will attempt to choose the best available<br>
codec, with the greatest number of channels, in the highest bitrate,<br>
in your frontend language. Failing that, it will attempt to select<br>
your guide language, and in the absence of language information, it<br>
will attempt to select by best codec, bitrate, and number of channels.<br>
Codec selection does not take into account your speaker configuration<br>
in any way. If the wrong track is being selected, It is often a<br>
mastering issue.<br>

DVD Playback is one place where everyone who cares about it absolutely<br>
should be running .24. Mark Kendall put more work into solidifying<br>
DVD playback than anyone has done in many releases, and I daresay it's<br>
more stable and reliable than it has been in a long time, if not ever.<br>
