If you have the exact binaries that were used to create the database, yes. If you have ones made of the same minor version and architecture, probably. Beyond that, its a crap shoot. Even if it loads, you will likely have some data corruption or another. The only reliable method of database transfer and recover is through a text dump.<br>

Ok, i managed to get the DB back up. Any ideas now on vdpau?<br>

It seems like all I should have to do is install mythbuntu 10.04, go to restricted drivers and make sure the recommended one is active, then run sudo nvidia-xconfig and reboot.<br>

Reboots into safe mode. I have an nvidia 9500 with 512mb ram (pci express).<br>

Does anyone have any ideas?<br>
