Any ideas now on vdpau?<br>

It seems like all I should have to do is install mythbuntu 10.04, go to
restricted drivers and make sure the recommended one is active, then
run sudo nvidia-xconfig and reboot.<br>

Reboots into safe mode. I have an nvidia 9500 with 512mb ram (pci
express).<br>

Does anyone have any ideas?<br>

OK, so if i do not have an xorg.conf file, X will boot up fine and myth
will play, but not with vdpau. So when i open nvidia-settings, it gives
a popup message saying: You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X
driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run
`nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.<br>

So i do that and it boots to safe mode.<br>

What's crazy about this is that when i open Hardware Drivers, it shows
two nvidia graphics drivers: version 173 and version current. Version
current says it is activated and currently in use. So what is going on
here?<br>

Any ideas?<br>
