We missed tonight's shows because Comcast:<br><br>1) moved all the OTA digital streams to new virtual channels, and<br>2) Removed the station and channel identifiers from most of those channels<br><br>When I called them to find out what was going on, I learned (at least, according to the phone answerer I spoke with) that they're apparently going to drop the OTA digital channels (to offer us more channels which will be available ONLY with a digital set-top box), and we need to get antennas if we want to receive local HD stations without using those extra-cost set-top boxes.<br>
<br>So tomorrow I have to test an antenna with one of our TVs to see if we can get decent OTA HD signals here. If so, then I'll have to get more antennas (or try a splitter with the single antenna) in order to get MythTV recording again.<br>
<br>And now we're looking more strongly at Dish or DirecTV.<br><br>Calvin<br>
