I have a GeForce 8400 graphics board, which the Nvidia site
says uses 190.53 drivers. I followed the advice on the wiki page for
installing the drivers from ATrpms, which is supposed to install this
version. After the reboot the graphical interface would hang at the point
where it was supposed to switch to the login screen.

In case anyone else has this happen, I followed the
instructions here http://linuxsoftwareblog.com/blog/?p=232
and solved the problem.
