</div>No. Digital recordings are compressed at the broadcaster. the only<br>
way you can affect the size of the recordings is to transcode after<br>
the fact.<br>

</div>Youch, that's a punishingly low bitrate to set your HD-PVR... way too<br>
low for my personal tastes, but to each their own, I suppose.<br>
