how comes that the playback of a HD recording in mythfrontend is<br>

That HD recording is 10GB.<br></blockquote></div><br><br>Did you check the mythfrontend.log to see if it really is using VDPAU?<br><br>For exporting recordings, there is the script that renames the files to a more human-friendly format. That might work for you. Then you could just copy the video file you want. <br>
