Hi,<br><br>We're running 32bit Mythbuntu 9.04 with updates & updated with the 'avenard' vdpau stable release and we have not seen any such instability. I wonder whether your problems could be related to the 64bit build? Just a thought...<br>

I had my mythtv working flawlessly for the last 2 years.<br>
Some time ago I finaly upgraded my box from Ubuntu 8.10 -> 9.04<br>

The upgrade went smooth and everything seems to play well.<br>
After some time I noted that myth "hangs" after a while.<br>

I can't change channel and after some time and error message comes up telling me it lost connection with the backend.<br>

After some work I managed to find the following relevant messages in the log that happends with the hang.<br>

I was running <a href="http://www.avenard.org/files/ubuntu-repos" target="_blank">http://www.avenard.org/files/ubuntu-repos</a> awesome fork.<br>
I have now tried the follwing:<br>

- clean reinstall og 9.04 on an own disk.<br>
- new mythconverg database.<br>
- Vanilla Ubuntu -fixes package<br>
- weekly thunk builds<br>
- svn (thrunk)<br>
<br>
All give the same symtoms after a while.<br>
<br>
About my setup:<br>
<br>
- Ubuntu 9.04 64bit<br>
- 2 gig ram<br>
- Intel 6600 quad<br>
- Nvidia 9500<br>
- 2 DVB-C cards<br>
- Loads of disk<br>
<br>
I run both backend and frontend on the same box.<br>
