A ton of thanks for all the responses.<br><br>I found that I couldn't. I asked for a poll to decide whether it was worth continuing to try. I'd heard a rumour that it was problematic.<br><br>But since I made the request I've successfully written dual-layer media by writing the myarchive .iso using xfburn, which uses a completely different set of libraries. So it would appear to be an argument between my writer/media and cdrkit.<br>
<br>There seem to be political reasons (?) why cdrtools is not included with Ubuntu any more. I think I may have to try installing cdrtools and see if that works any better. Anyone tried that?<br><br>Ta again,<br>Shadowfirebird.<br>

I've burned DL DVD with MythArchive. Quite a few as a matter of fact.<br>
The only problems I had with them is that *some* of the disks don't play well on *one* of my DVD players, but play fine on my other one. So I guess stand-alone DVD players have different quality issues as well. B^)<div class="im">

I have also noticed that some burners work better than others. Strangely,<br>
the one in my laptop works better than the full-size ones in my Myth box.<br>
