Hello,

I had an old myblaster and dish box working for several years until dish told us that we had to upgrade our boxes. Now I'm stuck with a new box, Dish 381 (I've heard it's a reworked Dish 811) and my old serial MyBlaster.

Has anyone had any luck with the myblaster perl script in getting it to control newer dish boxes? I've ran the "codesearch.pl" script to try and find the correct code to get the channels to change but it's not coming up with anything.
If you've had *any* success with the dish 381, please let me know. I don't mind dumping the myblaster stuff and just buying another IR transmitter.

Thanks,
The person who wrote the script, post's to this group..His name is William Munson, perhaps he would be able to point you in the right direction....

I found references to the code that's supposed to put the myblaster in "learning" mode but the site was down. Good ol' wayback machine saved it though!

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.iotzov.com/files/MyBlaster14.1.tar.gz
