Thanks for the quick reply, Chase. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't screwing something up before I blindly went forward and updated the iTouch. Now that I understand what is happening, I will update to OS 3.0 and then should be able use the official version.<br>

RRGH is another option and it works great for me on OS 2.21 on an iTouce 1G. I have no intention of upgrading to 3.0 since it really doesn't add anything for the 1G.<br>
