It seems to me like a website providing transcripts of shows would be just as illegal as one providing the shows themselves. It's not likely the copyright owner would publish such data, because the only use for it would be people recording shows, and watching it without commercials. Not something they would want to facilitate or encourage.</blockquote>
<div><br>They could also be used to add captions when they don't exist for whatever reason. I'd expect that publishing them without the copyright owner's permission would be a breech of copyright though.<br><br>
