/media/mythtv # <br><br><br>I have been running mythrename this way since I setup my Mythbox with no problems. I preferred no symlinks as I tend to copy around my recordings to various boxes/laptops all the time and it's a bit easier to just glance the directory list and see what's what...<br>

I was just editing a few old SNLs down to the bits to keep, and in the middle of editing this one the FE just froze. I killed mythfrontend process on it, noticed the backend had died (restarted w/script on its own) and restarted mythfrontend, only to go into Watch Recordings and when trying to play the one I was editing, getting "The file for this recording cannot be found". Those are not the same file. Does the one mythbackend is claiming missing actually exist?<br>
Those are not mythtv file names. Why are you running mythrename (without using the symlink option)?<br>
