I am developing a system for people who have no home internet access, no computer, who watch over-the-air television in the U.S. <br>The idea is to have a PC running DVR software with unlimited internet access financed with skip-able directed television commercials. The initial plan would be for standard definition output. <br>
<br>The current configuration:<br>Operating System: Ubuntu (with <a href="http://openoffice.org">openoffice.org</a>)<br>DVR software: MythTV with add-ons for uploading DVR control data and downloading directed advertising<br>
Desktop with motherboard with integrated graphics (eg ASUS P5N-EM)<br>Internal hybrid tuner card (eg Hauppauge HVR 1600)<br>2 gb RAM<br>250 gb internal SATA drive<br>56K modem<br>Wireless remote<br>Optional keyboard, mouse, monitor<br>
