I am trying to get my Hauppauge 1212 working. I am looking at the doc in the wiki. It appears to be connected, but I dont get a device. Here is what I did. Connected it to my windows computer and installed software and fireware ( i think, i am not sure how to check that). The software that comes with it sees it as a capture device, so I assumed it was good.<br>

I then moved it to my mythbackend, which is a AMD 64 machine, running gentoo, with mythtv svn from yesterday.<br>

What does dmesg say about the device?<br><font color="#888888">
