I've migrated Linux installs (including Ubuntu) between machines a few times now, and experienced minimal problems.<br><br>Also, not that it's any of my business of course, but isn't that CPU overkill for a backend-only system? It's the frontend duties that require horsepower...<br>

My Mythtv server fried. Had a VIA EPIA M-10000 board and looks like it<br>

I'm migrating to an Athelon 64 X2 5000 CPU based system. This Myth will<br>
be a backend only. I'm using my PS3 for the frontend. I know that I have<br>
toreload the OS (Mythbuntu), backup/restore the data base, and then<br>
repair it. I think I can get the old OS booted on the VIA board long<br>
enough to backup the database. After I import it, how do I find the data<br>
base entries for the missing files and correct them. Once the data base<br>
is corrected for the missing shows, is there anything else I need to fix<br>
before I run Mythsetup?<br>
