<div dir="ltr">When I first hooked up my hdtv, my old recordings looked horrible. I cranked up the resolution, and it was a big improvement. My files went from 1 gig / hour to 3 gig / hour, but it got rid of the grain. It's definitely not HD, but it was an improvement. <br>

- and don't forget to deinterlace your recordings if you weren't<br>
before. You've probably just gone from an interlaced display to a<br>
progressive display.<br>
