Ok, I finally got the sound working by rolling by the drivers but now I can't scan or see any channels. I don't see any analog options in the DVB driver. Am I missing something? When I use the V4L driver I get nothing but static now.

I think I'm having a conflict with the v4l-dvb update on ubuntu. The cx88-alsa module isn't loading but I don't know how to undo what I did. Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for your response. I tried your suggestion out but it didn't work. It also crashes whenever I change the channel to something other than the starting channel. I'm wondering if the issue is related.

>
I have a pcHD5500 card and I had to set the audio for it to /dev/dsp (or
/dev/dsp1; not 100% sure as I'm not in front of it right now). This
lets the on-board sound of the card get used.

Hope this helps.
