No, I've just tried it and it seems you don't have it right. After<br>
killing mythfrontend it drop back to gdm briefly before automatically<br>
re-logging in and starting mythfrontend again.<br>

This is on hardy with a fairly recent set of weekly mythbuntu packages<br>
if that makes any difference.<br>
