clarify what you mean? </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>In a previous post, you state that you could
re-enter the tuners:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>I deleted
all the tuner information by using mythtv-setup, shut down the SBE, and
re-entered tuners for the 500 for just the the MBE. I still got Tuner 1 is
unavailable and Tuner 2 is unavailable. </FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Where are you seeing the unavailble
error?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>To clarify the steps I believe you have already
done, </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>1) Only MBE is on, mysql is running, mythbackend is
off, iptables is either off, or correctly configured</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>2) mythtv-setup was run on the system, with a user
that has full access to the filestore and database</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>3) Under General you have</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>- The external IP address of the MBE</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>4) Under capture cards, you have already done a
delete all</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>5) You hit new capture card, select the correct
card type, and an ID, Assume here that something appears next to Frontend
ID:?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>6) Under Input connections, you have mapped a card
to a channel selection</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>7) When you go to channel editor channels
appear?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>8) You then quit and run mythfilldatabase, and
restart mythbackend</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Do you have mythweb or a mythfrontend installed to
that particular backend? Can you access under system information Tuner status
locally? I think you are correct to try and get original things working again
first before going to the next stage. I assume that your machines are staticaly
addressed and not DHCP? Using hosts not DNS? I ask these because your problems (
I think I saw somewhere) started when you rebooted the MBE and SBE after adding
the new frontend.</FONT></DIV>
