It's all about xmltvids. The grabber script updates the channel based on matching xmltvids. If it can't find a channel with the same xmltvid as in its list it creates a new one.
</blockquote><div><br><br>Forgot to mention, the list the script uses is $HOME/.mythtv/VideoSourceName.xmltv. If there are channels in there that aren't in your channel table they'll get re-created as "untunables". So for example when they got rid of Film4+1 and replaced it with channel4+1 I had to remove the line for film4+1 and add one for channel4+1 in $HOME/.mythtv/Freeview.xmltv (Freeview is the name of my video source)
