Hi

I'm using mythfrontend on a VIA EPIA EX10000EG. Unfortunately (and probably due to the dodgy VIA drivers) the whole system freezes whenever I try to watch live TV or recordings. I'm trying to get to the bottom of this and saw the following in the output from mythfrontend --verbose playback:

2007-10-12 17:22:24.388 VideoOutputXv: InitSetupBuffers() render: xvmc-blit, allowed: xv-blit,xshm,xlib
2007-10-12 17:22:24.388 VideoOutputXv: Desired video renderer 'xvmc-blit' not available.
codec 'MPEG2' makes 'xv-blit,xshm,xlib,' available, using 'xv-blit' instead.
2007-10-12 17:22:24.389 VDP: SetVideoRenderer(xv-blit)

I've got the MPEG2 decoder set to "VIA XvMC". I'm using the SVN from a couple of days ago, compiled with --enable-xvmc-vld.

It looks like the xvmc renderer is being ignored and xv is used instead. Is there any reason for this? Why isn't xvmc-blit a valid choice for the MPEG2 codec? Does any of this actually make any difference or am I just being distracted?

Thanks for your help

Olly
