what a long thread, yeah, that was related to it. I happen to have a PVR500 card and the last posts of this thread indicate something fishy with ivtv. Anyway, I recompiled mythtv with the work around described in one the latest posts (a small change in tv_rec.cpp, line 1310, all args set to true) and tried it. No more freezes. I had systemtica freeze during program switching. It's the first time I experience no freeze since I updated my system a few days ago.<br><br>I will live with this workaround for now. Don't know why it's only called a workaround and not a fix but as most problems, it will be cleared up soon or later.
