My pchdtv 5500 will sometimes fail to tune to a channel or give me strange color bands in my picture. It also only seems to happen when I go from tuning an HD channel to tuning an SD channel. When I go to watch a recording, sometimes I'll get 1-2 good frames and then the rest of the recording is all static video/audio. Other times, the picture will be in black and white, except there are horizontal repeating bars of red, green, and blue that are each about 1/10th of the screen in width, which also bob up and down a bit. Other times, I'll get the bars and after a few seconds they go away.
<br><br>This didn't happen when I had my tuner in my other computer while I was trying out mythtv. At that time, I was using a 32 bit kernel (not using 64 bit), but I was using the same mythtv package, linux distribution, and kernel version. I have since tried using the trunk and 20-fixes - neither of which solved the problem.
<br><br>So is this a known problem with pchdtv 5500 cards in mythtv? Or, is it a known problem with the 64 bit driver? Is there anything I can do to try and fix it?<br><br>
