Thanks that did the trick. Just in case anyone else needs all the instructions, To fix shutdown from exit choice on Ubuntu systems<br><br>
Run the command: sudo visudo<br>
Add the line at the bottom: %mythtv ALL = NOPASSWD: /sbin/halt<br><br><br>Then change the line for halt on the fourth page of Settings->General to read sudo halt instead of halt.<br><br>Thanks for the quick response.<br>
