Hi,<br><br>Hacked together a gaim perl plugin that does the following:<br><br>- Send Gaim buddy sign on information to the mythfrontend (only visible when watching tv or recorded, dvd using Internal player)<br>- Send Gaim received IM messages from buddies to the mythfrontend (only visible when watching tv or recorded, dvd using Internal player)
<br><br>It uses the mythtvosd program with the scroller template, so every time a buddy signs on or sends a message to you while you are watching tv it scrolls<br>from right to left in the bottom of your tv screen. Same goes for received IM messages.
<br><br>I have a linux desktop in another room than the mythtv frontend, now i can see who is signin in and chatting to me without <br>getting up everytime i hear the sound from gaim coming from the other room :)<br><br>Currently its set up to broadcast, but it's is easily adaptable to send only to one frontend.
