I have not tried updating my video drivers. I'm running version 9631 right now. I highly doubt it has anything to do with my video drivers because I can do everything else mythtv can do without firewire with no problems. I don't think mythtv uses anything video related when recording from firewire, so I just don't see a connection. I'll try it - but I don't have much hope :(
