Right now I'm using a RF wireless mini keyboard.
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16823166047
It works great. But I would like to use the keyboard for other things (PS3, mythtv backend, etc). I am not impressed with lirc. I've gotten it to work before (hauppauge remote). Once it is working it is fine but until then it is a pain in the butt.
would fix this problem, but I've not yet gotten around to looking into it.)

--
Rod Smith
http://www.rodsbooks.com
_______________________________________________
