I was running soft updated under FreeBSD to host my webserver and personal blog. Then, one day, files that I knew were there suddenly couldn't be found. And then others. And then whole directories. Turned out, one by one, my file systems had been corrupted.
<br><br>The box is sitting on my desk right now while I contemplate various scenarios of hardware and software redundancy (such as vinum).<br><br>I'm glad you were able to retain most of your data though, Dave. I was in the middle of coming up with a viable backup solution on a limited budget and ended up losing everything.
