<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; "><DIV>I'm setting up a new Myth frontend, and I'm seeing some odd memory behavior. In particular, mythfrontend is using an enormous amount of RAM which results in it getting killed by the kernel. This is with 0.20-fixes, AMD-64 Gentoo system.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>The system is based on the NVidia 6150 chipset, and has 512MB of ram native. Some of this is grabbed by the video card, resulting in ~450 usable by the system. When I run at a 1920x1080 resolution, the frontend is killed before it can display the first menu (GANT theme) or as soon as we start watching TV (Blue theme). </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Dropping the resolution to 800x600 results in a system that is nearly out of memory, but not quite. </DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>This is a diskless frontend, so no swap. I'm not sure I'd want the frontend swapping in any case. Is anyone else seeing these memory usage levels?
