This was happening to me at 720p. Because of general dissatisfaction
with the Air2PC cards (actually, just my ignorance about what digital
cable is) I've returned them and am waiting for a pcHDTV 5500. I don't
understand why I can play 720p content that's been saved to a file (I
have some trailers that are encoded with x264 at 1280x720), isn't live
HDTV basically a streaming MPEG? <br>

When the new card gets here I'll let you know how it goes, and I'll try
out various XvMC settings as well. With the cards I've just returned, I
did not try XvMC. On a perhaps related note, and this may belong in a
different thread: when you have XvMC enabled for the "internal" player,
assuming you use that player to play DVDs too, are you able to play
DVDs with XvMC? Since DVDs play fine, I may just set XvMC for HD
content only.<br>

My System Spec is very close (same cpu / mem / HD) but I'm using pcHDTV
card and nvidia 5200. <br>

Prior to a week ago I was running .19 w/ the x86 Kernel and never used
more then 50% cpu system wide when watching 1080i. Then I rebuilt the
machine w/ a 64 kernel and moved to FC6 and moved to .20 and I am
getting the same CPU issues you are having.

My workaround right now is that I am watching in 480p and not 1080i.
What resolutions do you see this problem in?<br>
