Hello list,<br><br>Does anyone know of any guides to setting up serial port control of a cable set-top box? I have found a few forums posts where people mention "getting it to work," but no information on the process.<br><br>The set-top box I got from Cox Cable in Virginia Beach has a 9-pin port on the back of it--I wonder if this can be used to control the box (so I wouldn't need an IR blaster).<br><br>Thanks,<br>Pete<br><p>
