Actually they are going for about $30 on ebay with the rebate already
taken by the people selling them. However, I see no mention at all of
(1) whether there is a V4L driver for them and (2) if they capture
audio as well. If not you always end up with out-of-sync a/v on your
capture. Better to spend the money on the 150.
For the particular card I was talking about (assuming it is supported,
still not sure) the only advantage I need is cost. A PVR-150
costs what? $60? This card, after rebate right now would be $40,
and would be both a geforce 6200, and a tv-encoder, so I wouldn't need
to worry about a separate video card. Obviously if I wanted to
add more capture cards later, I'd be looking at PVR150s or similar
cards.

A PVR-150 is probably your best bet,
for it's combination of MythTV support, quality, and price.

I would not imagine that there is any benefit to getting a
card without a tumer as opposed to one with a tuner.
The only obvious advantage would be cost, but that comes out in the
wash when you consider the higher volumes that cards with tuners sell
at.

I'm in the same situation. I asked
the other day about an eVGA e-GeForce
6200, which has a hardware encoder. But I didn't get a response
about whether that encoder was supported by Myth or not. If so it
would be a nice solution for me because it combines the video/encoder
in the one card. Also, if they DO work, there's a rebate (around
$70 I think) at Circuit City for this particular card until I believe
the 18th.
