Yeah, I must say, I was kinda surprised that anything worked at all
with the 'wrong' headers for my kernel, but I guess that's the magic of
linkers or somesuch. It's all too much for me.<br>
<br>
Anyway, the followinh headers appear to be available :<br>
<br>
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">media root # emerge -a linux-headers</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">These are the packages that I would merge, in order:</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">Calculating dependencies ...done!</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">[ebuild R ] sys-kernel/linux-headers-2.6.8.1-r2</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">Do you want me to merge these packages? [Yes/No] n</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">Quitting.</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">media root #</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<br>
Obviously, my system is running the 2.6.8, as emerge shows it as a 'R'e-emerge.<br>

<br>when I should upgrade. Do the version numbers mirror those of the<br>kernel?<br>_______________________________________________<br>mythtv-users mailing list<br><a href="mailto:mythtv-users@mythtv.org">mythtv-users@mythtv.org
