[mythtv-users] Remote for Winfast 2000 XP card help

I have the coolcommand remote with the number Y0400046 that I would
like to get to work with lirc.  I have been looking around the net for
assistance and I have found some older posts that relate to building
lirc to applying a patch linked here
http://www.linuxtv.org/v4lwiki/index.php/Leadtek_WinFast_2000  I dont
know how to apply the patch referenced.

In the long run I plan on getting a PVR 350 with remote but until I
have some money I have this Winfast card that I would like to use the
remote with.  Any help would be appricated greatly.
