[mythtv-users] Restored shows won't play

I restored a bunch of recordings into MythTV (from their .old backups)
using that perl script (myth.rebuilddatabase.pl). They show up inside
MythTV just fine. I even had Myth transcode and commercial flag the
files. But they won't play. I select play and the screen flickers as
if it tried to start the video and immediately failed.

I ran then it from the console. This is the relevant part of the output:
2007-02-20 05:46:11.723 TV: Attempting to change from None to
WatchingPreRecorded
2007-02-20 05:46:11.732 RemoteFile::openSocket(control socket):
                       Could not connect to server "" @ port -1
2007-02-20 05:46:11.737 RemoteFile::openSocket(file data socket):
                       Could not connect to server "" @ port -1
2007-02-20 05:46:11.738 RingBuffer::RingBuffer(): Failed to open
remote file (myth://:/1052_20070219130000.nuv)

There are also some errors when it is trying to preview the video. It
plays a video. But it's really jumpy. It's like it is playing 1 second
then pausing, then playing another second and pausing, etc. The
messages on the console when it is previewing a restored video follow:

Please note that I can watch recordings normally, just not these restored ones.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
-Steven
